Hi everyone, I love working in our 'fantastic' Library here at KNS. I have the best job in the school (don't tell anyone). Come in to read, use the computers, play in the games room, 'explore' in the Maori Cultural Room, colour/draw, use the listening post and so much more..... We are getting new books all the time into our Library - make sure you keep checking our 'new book' stand and also our 'as featured on the KNS Library Blog' stand. Be sure to read them and write a review! Mrs Lynskey

BOOTSIE SERIES
We have three fantastic new books Australian author, Mike James. Mike is a police officer and wrote the books as he spent time with his son Connor who was undergoing treatment for a cancerous brain tumour in hospital. The Bootsie books are about a young boy who is mad about RUGBY UNION.
'Bootsie is desperate for his team, the South's Bulldogs, to get into the finals of the under-11's rugby union competition. But first, they have to face the Eastern Warriors, the South East Cats, then the dreaded Western Rebels....
Just as it seems that Bootsie's dream is within reach, one disaster after another strikes.
With supportive parents on the side line and an ex-international test player as coach, Bootsie and teammates discover that there is more to the game that just winning or losing.
By facing-up to their anxiety, fear, and disappointment, the South's Bulldogs' infectious joy of playing the game brings it's own rewards.
As you laugh out loud, you'll also be learning about positions, rules of the game, strategies as well as many other lessons in the game of rugby union.'
Mike James has written more stories about 'Bootsie' which will be published in the near future. We will get them in our library when they are available.
'Bootsie you're 8', 'Bootsie number 2' and 'Bootsie the Schoolboy' are all in the library now. RESERVE THEM NOW!
